State Fund Policyholders May be Eligible for

up to $10,000 in Free Safety Equipment

Now, more of State Fund’s policyholders are eligible to receive up to $10,000 in free safety equipment through their Safety Equipment Grants Program. The program, in its second year, provides $25 million in grant money to help eligible policyholders purchase safety equipment for use in preventing workplace falls. This year, they have expanded the program to include additional class codes, making it possible for even more policyholders to apply.

To be considered for a grant, policyholders must have at least one employee working from a height of at least six feet in one of the eligible classifications, must be in good standing, and must have an Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP). Policyholders without an IIPP can create one using State Fund’s IIPP Builder.SM

State Fund will send an email invitation to qualifying policyholders 16 days after their policy inception date encouraging them to apply. If you have policyholders in the following industries: carpentry, roofing, sheet metal, tree work, millwright, plumbing, wallboard installation, electrical, painting, scaffold, iron or steel works, and steel erection, please remind them to look for the invitation and encourage them to apply.

Policyholders who received money last year are eligible to apply for a second grant.
