State Fund is expanding their Safety Equipment Grants Program to protect more California workers. The program provides $25 million in grants for eligible policyholders to purchase safety equipment for use in preventing workplace falls.

On July 1st, State Fund expanded the program to include Tree Trimming (0106) in addition to the existing class codes: Carpentry (5403, 5432), Roofing (5552, 5553), and Sheet Metal (5538, 5538-2, 5542, 5542-2).
Qualifying policyholders will receive an email invitation to apply for a grant 16 days after their policy renews or incepts. The application eligibility period is 90 days from the date of their invitation.
Policyholders must be in good standing, have at least one reported employee who works at a height of at least six feet, and must upload their existing IIPP or create a new one in State Fund’s IIPP Builder℠.
