Important State Fund System Changes You Need to Know 

In February, State Fund made a few system changes that may impact your clients. Both changes align with recent underwriting protocols to ensure collection of the correct premium amount and avoid any large final invoices.

 

  1. Quotes for former policyholders with outstanding items on their prior policies may require an underwriting review before providing a quote. If a price indication is given, Amwins’ Access will contact you before obtaining a formal quote to ensure the employer plans to settle all outstanding obligations. All prior obligations must be cleared before binding the quote.

  2. Starting with effective dates of May 1, 2026, State Fund requires a completed supplemental application for all roofing customers more than 60 days before renewal or the policy will enter the renewal cancellation cycle. If the supplemental application is returned during the cycle, Amwins’ Access will work closely with you and State Fund to withdraw the cancellation and obtain a quote. Applications received less than seven days before renewal might not give State Fund enough time to prevent non-renewal and provide a quote.
